πŸ’ž Get Fit Challenge, Day #10: Gratitude πŸ‘

πŸ’› “The man who wins may have been counted out several times, but he didn’t hear the referee.” -H.E. Jensen πŸ’›

Good Morning!

It’s all in the attitude. . .

Between my yesterday’s fight to remain positive and the quote from above, I’d say today is on point. Knowing there is oatmeal warms my heart too. Literally. I want some beef jerky and grits. Not together, just before 9 am today.

I have decided on the days that I want to spew poisonous words to anyone including myself, that I will replace them with bit(es) of gratitude. My brother used to have this group where we wrote what we were thankful for. It was light, fun and simple. I don’t know about anyone else who wrote in there but I felt so happy & level headed after reading and writing in there! So I’ve decided to do that.

Early this morning, I am thankful for darkness. Thankful for silence. Thankful for the opportunity to relax my mind and refresh my body. I’m thankful for second chances. The chance to really get things right. Thankful for understanding and appreciative people. Happy to see smiling couples, thankful for their inspiration. Picture a bowl of coffee ice cream with toffee pieces & slice of tiramisu. Add some Bailey’s. Yes. Do that. Anywho, well that’s how I feel this morning. Thankful for that.

Just wanted to start the day out right. I think that’s been my problem: I have just been starting the day. Waking up & attacking fears is great. I am just now at a point where I can have some fun with it too. All the while giving thanks. Good or bad, I need to remember each day is a day longer than some people were given.

Make it a wonderful day, friends.

Go and Be Awesome,

The Smitten Chef πŸ’‘πŸ’˜
